An Armadillo, a Walrus, and a pain in the behind Giraffe

The first is an armadillo in pink. Yes pink, just because I had some. There are plans for a yellow one before christmas(for friends in Texas).

The Walrus is made from the Spinning Room(my LYS) colorway from Periwinkle Sheep. I love this yarn!(I stiil have 22 grams of it left, so there will be more Spinning Room animals.)

I am finally finished with the Giraffe. I love how he turned out, but he was a pain in the behind to make. It took me 9 tries(3 turned out to be other animals) to get him just right. After I had finished him I decided that he needed spots. Therefore I have to go to my Chemistry Lab(better known as the kitchen) and get some food coloring and vinegar out. The spots were easy to make and really make the Giraffe.

EEK! A snake!

Although this looks like your ordinary Icord snake, it has a few Special qualities. It is in fact an Icord snake . . . he just has a few decreases along the way to make him more snakelike.

A very happy Platypus

So I wanted to make a lion . . . ummm . . . clears throat . . . a Platypus, yeah that's what I meant. Actually Alison from knit-in came up with the idea that it could be a platypus. So now this platypus is very happy (she didn't want to be a lion!)

Champy and an Orange Hippo

First we have Champy who is Lake Champlain's mysterious monster. She is pretty sure that she is a cousin of Nessie (AKA Loch Ness Monster), but the DNA test has never been completed(Nessie is afraid of needles!)

Next we have an Orange Hippo. He was dyed orange in a freak Halloween accident (he fell into a pumpkin and had to eat his was out!)

The sightly seasick Seal

Although this seal is a little green (she gets seasick if the waves are to high) she still loves playing in the waves with all of her friends. Her green coloring does make it easier to hide in the kelp forest when playing hide and go seek!

A very Sassy Stingray

Last month I traveled to Philly and went to the Aquarium in Camden NJ. One of my favorite parts was petting the stingrays. So I made this stingray in honor of the stingrays that loved being pet at the aquarium.

2 Kiwi and a Peacock

All the way from New Zealand . . . 2 Kiwi!

And from Warwick Castle in England . . . A Peacock. Watching the peacocks was the best part of visiting Warwick Castle(at least for me!)
